Well, I got back from International Quilt Market late on Sunday night. I had a little bit of fabric with me, and a puppy. First, the fabric and Market stuff.
I think I’ll just start with some pictures of booths and other things I saw. I don’t think I’m in any of these pictures because I was mostly by myself and behind the camera. But I really was there!
This is Felicity Miller who designs for FreeSpirit fabrics. She was so nice, and talked to me about her design career. I was happy to be able to tell her that her Gypsy line was one of the first in my fabric store.
This is Jean Morrison’s booth with the lovely Wild World fabrics. It is such a beautiful collection with lots of gray and a much smaller scale to the prints than has been typical lately. Perhaps there is a move to smaller scale patterns?
I was THRILLED to walk into Marcia Derse’s booth and find her there and happy to talk to me. She even asked for my business card and gave me hers! I will be writing a full post about her fabrics soon!
I think I’m going to leave it at that for now. I’ve got more pictures, but not a lot. And I will post more about Quilt Market soon. At least there are some pictures for you to look at! Although there are many, many more on other blogs, too!
(And I did ask about taking pictures before taking them of people’s booth!)
