I’ve got a completed quilt! The quilt is uses the Greenfield Hill collection by Denyse Schmidt for FreeSpirit Fabrics in the Blueberry colorway. The pattern is Shadowbox by Mountainpeek Creations. I finished the quilt top awhile ago. I took it to a local long-arm quilter Richla at Got Kwilts who has a pretty new business but does an excellent job. Everything was really top-notch–her studio is gorgeous–and I will go to her for all my long-arm quilting needs. (Please be sure to tell her that I sent you if you are in need of quilting.)
The quilt is going to my friend’s mom. He told her about the quilt a few days ago, and she is really excited to get it! He doesn’t send her many gifts because there is never really anything she needs or wants. So this seemed like a great thing for her. When I met her last summer, I brought her some peonies from my garden. As it turned out, that’s her favorite flower. So when I was trying to figure out something to do with this beautiful fabric with peonies, I realized a quilt for Jeannie would be perfect.
(If you like the fabrics and want to get some, it’s 30% off with discount code multi30 through April 11, 2011. I have pattern in stock, too.)

i love this line…yet to do anything with my own yet…beautiful job!
It usually takes me forever to do anything with fabrics that I really love…I’m afraid to ruin them!
Thanks for stopping by!!
It turned out beautifully, Cathy! Glad you found someone to quilt it!! I’ve gotten over my fear of my quilting frame since you first talked about this quilt – I’ve probably already quilted 20-25 quilts on it already!
I know…a completed quilt!!! Hard to believe, but pretty exciting for me!
Thanks! Cathy

oh yeah! we need a full shot!
Thank you for sharing this – I was really hesitant about this line, for some reason it didn’t scream ‘BUY ME LOVE ME’ when I first saw it. But then, of course, I did buy it. And now, having seen it used, I am so happy I DID!
Gorgeous! What a great fabric and pattern combo!
