Fall into Fall Quilt Bloggers Giveaway!

October 1, 2010 by Cathy A.

Today is the day that the Fall into Fall Quilt Blogger’s Giveaway starts! Have you heard about it? There are a ton–8 businesses and 143 personal blogs!–to visit, and each will have a giveaway. It’s going to be lots of fun, I’m sure. There’s a list of participating blogs–a click on Mr Scarecrow will take you there.

By the way–I’m sorry that I’m a bit late…this morning I found out that there was no school when I tried to take my son to school. Messed up my entire day! Anyway…onto the goods!

I know this is supposed to be all about Fall, but let’s face it–now’s the time to get going on your holiday sewing. So I’ve got a fat quarter bundle of some great Robert Kaufman winter holiday prints.

I’ll include some solids or semi-solids in the bunch, too, although I didn’t put any of them in the picture. So you’ll have a good start on your way to putting together  a winter lap quilt to keep you (or someone you love) warm!

The idea of this is for everyone to have a fun way to find more great blogs to follow! Enjoy & good luck!

Details
To enter my giveaway, post one comment letting me know what you enjoy reading on quilting blogs. Is it tutorials? Personal anecdotes and stories about quilting? Seeing finished quilts? Quilt alongs? What you you like best?

Post your comments by midnight on October 14th on my blog, and the winner will be announced on October 15th.

*Feel free to enter if you’re from the US, Canada, UK or Australia.

I love, love, love those fabrics! On quilty blogs, I enjoy seeing other people’s quilts and also hearing the stories behind the quilt. Tutorials are interesting, also.
Thank you for offering this give-away!

  2. on October 1, 2010 at 8:56 pm Amy C

It will be winter before we know it. Those Kaufman fabrics are cute! I enjoy seeing and reading about the various projects on all the blogs. I love to see how a pattern can look completely different just by the line of fabrics used.

  3. on October 1, 2010 at 9:10 pm Rachel

    Ooh. PRetty.

I like seeing quilts other people have made, together with a description of the process — like, I decided that this looked too contrasty, so I added a narrow border here, and then I wanted it longer, so I decided to put in an asymetrical sashing — etc. I just find it very interesting to see how someone else problem solved, and what the end result was.

I just love Christmas and the fabrics that come with it. I love reading blogs and watching the creative juices come alive in projects that are shared. I especially love it when someone tells how it went together.

  5. on October 1, 2010 at 9:23 pm Bailey

I’m pretty new to quilting, so I enjoy the tutorials the most! Most everything I’ve learned about quilting has been through blogs (gotta love blogs!!!).

    Thanks!

  6. on October 1, 2010 at 9:37 pm deborah

i love tutorials — and knowing that there are other REAL people who make REAL mistakes like the ones i do! :-)

  7. on October 1, 2010 at 9:58 pm robin

I love looking at the beautiful fabrics and seeing what others are making. I’m new to quilting, too! Handy tips are always welcome, and looking at cool tools. Also would like to do some machine quilting in the future and have a feeling my 20 year old machine might not handle this well, so would like to upgrade at some point, and would love to know what to look for in a machine.

  8. on October 1, 2010 at 10:39 pm Jessica H

  15. on October 2, 2010 at 2:01 am Irina

    Hello!
    Thanks for this nice giveaway.
What I like from quilter blogs is to see their projects and get inspired by them. I’m not an experienced quilter and I’m always looking for tips and advise. I have learnt so much from experienced quilters, little things that I had no idea about and makes quilting so much easier. That’s what I like!

I like seeing the finished products of so many creative quilters! It is always so inspiring!

  20. on October 2, 2010 at 4:59 am Katie

I love seeing what other quilters are working on. It inspires me to try new things, or just get back into my sewing room and finish something. Tutorials of projects I particularly love are a bonus. Thanks for a chance to win!

  21. on October 2, 2010 at 5:05 am Linda

It’s hard to narrow down to just one thing I like about reading blogs. I always enjoy seeing what others are creating, it’s quite inspirational. Plus I like the sew alongs, tutorials, recipes, and seeing what’s going on with everybody. See, I told you I couldn’t select just one thing!

  22. on October 2, 2010 at 5:32 am Carol M.

I love the tutorials and the finished quilts. I make rag quilts so these fabrics would be perfect. Thanks

  23. on October 2, 2010 at 5:51 am Shelley C

I’m a blog reader; I love seeing finished products; how different people put together combinations of color. I llike to try tried and true recipes that are shared. Tutes come in handy when it’s a technique I’m not familiar with. Love to see smaller projects that go together quickly for gifts…

Being a quilter, we’re obviously very visual people. So for me, I like the pictures best. I love to see how different people interpret and use color.

Thanks for the chance to win!

  27. on October 2, 2010 at 7:56 am Riel

Wow, that is great fabric … I would love to win. What I like about quilting blogs is seeing projects that people have made without patterns … individual, unique items!

  28. on October 2, 2010 at 8:03 am Donna

The reindeer on the red are super! I love Robert Kaufman fabrics. Being new to quilting I especially enjoy the tutorials. I am working on getting brave enough to join a quilt along – I think this would be loads of fun, which improving my skills. Great giveaway! Thanks.

  29. on October 2, 2010 at 8:13 am Mary on Lake Pulaski

I love seeing in process and finished quilts on blogs because the give me inspiration to start something new! Thanks for participating in the giveaway! Great fabric.

  30. on October 2, 2010 at 8:23 am Joan C

When I first started to read blogs, I looked for tutes, but interestingly enough, my favorite blog has none. It is just the daily life of a quilter who can write very well, and who also does inspiring work which she displays on her blog.
Thanks for offering such a nice prize.
    Joan C

  39. on October 2, 2010 at 12:24 pm Staci

Fabulous, fabulous fabrics! Wow! What a great giveaway!

I love all the things you mentioned on blogs. There are a couple things I don’t like, and can cause me not to return to a blog. I don’t like MUSIC on blogs! I HATE IT in fact!
and second, I don’t like it when bloggers get depressing. Life is hard, we all have hard times, but for me blogging is a little escape from the rigors of life and I don’t care to read “true confession” or deeply depressing posts.

  40. on October 2, 2010 at 12:47 pm Bev DeMaria

I like tutorials, but like quilting anecdotes and anything fun the best. I don’t like music on blogs so I just hit the mute button.
    Love the Christmas fabric. thanks.

I enjoy the tutorials for sure but I really enjoy just seeing all the different things people are quilting, the colors and fabrics.
I love the quilt squares on your comments here. How you do those?

    • on October 3, 2010 at 1:11 pm Cathy A.

I didn’t do the quilting squares on the comments on purpose–Wordpress just did that automatically–maybe because the word quilting is in the tags for my blog. They are cute, aren’t they?

  58. on October 2, 2010 at 7:53 pm Pam

I love tutorials …it makes things so understandable. I also like seeing the different projects people make.

It works like a charm too. And I love love LOVE looking at photos of the quilt that people have made, photos of the process are fascinating too. A photo series of the fabric and pattern, the cut pieces, the finished blocks, the finished quilt: I’m glued to the photos. The fabrics are absolutely beautiful by the way, thanks for the giveaway!

I enjoy a mix of things. I love, as any other quilter, seeing what other quilters are making! and a good tute is always nice to watch, especially if it is something I need to learn! But I also enjoy the cute quips about peoples children and grandchildren…they make me smile…and also the stories of how everyone got started in quilting! There is nothing that I don’t like about blogging…except those who use their blogs to bash others…I just don’t care for that.

Please sign me up to win these gorgeous fabrics!

    Thanks for a super giveaway!

  75. on October 3, 2010 at 9:37 am bonnie

love the fabrices, please throw my name in the hat… As for Quilt blogs, I like seeing their projects, quilts, and their tips and hints and tutorials, I have learned alot just reading blogs. Oh and then there are the ones about products, if they like it, don’t like it, and they introduce new things all the time… but then on my part it is OH I need to try that too… I keep thinking how much my mother would have enjoyed quilt blogs.

  76. on October 3, 2010 at 9:50 am Jill

  81. on October 3, 2010 at 12:52 pm Karin

I’m having so much fun with this blog hop – who knew there was so much creativity going on in the world! I can’t begin to tell what I like best about reading these blogs – it might be the challenges faced & how they’re overcome (be it life or sewing challenges), the joys (or trials) of children & family, the tutorials (and what NOT to do), or simply pictures and inspirational quotes. Oh, and animal pictures & tales, lots of animal tales. And giveaways are GREAT, especially when they’re as pretty as all these fabrics!! Thanks for sharing with us all!

  82. on October 3, 2010 at 1:15 pm Kim

I love reading about quilting projects and tutorials.

  83. on October 3, 2010 at 1:51 pm Sara

  84. on October 3, 2010 at 2:04 pm Bailey

Had a little giggle at the no school thing. I think we have all done that a time or two!
What I like about quilt blogs is first a clean blog, no flashing ads, ads are fine but the dang flashy ones drives me crazy! I like tutorials best since I am still learning.

  85. on October 3, 2010 at 2:39 pm growfamilygrow

Fabulous fabric. I love how quilting bloggers are all ages and seeing the commonalities and between some otherwise very diverse individuals in their stories and quilts.

    Warmest regards,

Oh those are hands down the funnest Christmas fabrics I have seen yet!

I literally love everything about quilting blogs… tutorials are nice, I love seeing finished quilts, both are great sources for inspiration, and I also love to read about quilt alongs. I haven’t actually joined one yet, but maybe soon!

  91. on October 3, 2010 at 4:21 pm Chelsey Fletcher

Quilting blogs are a lot of fun. Honestly, the simple answer is I love the colors. There is a lot of “fun” that is around to be seen on the quilting blogs. Ultimately, I love seeing the finished products and hearing about any inspiration used to create them. All of that put together inspires me.

  92. on October 3, 2010 at 4:25 pm Julia P

Thanks for a great giveaway!! I have to say that when I read blogs I enjoy the stories. There are some stories that are funny and alot that touch you in some way.

  93. on October 3, 2010 at 4:35 pm Charlene S

To me reading a blog is like having a visit with a new friend who soon becomes an old friend. I like the stories, love the quilts, and watching or reading how to do something I don’t know makes me a better quilter. So I guess my answer is I like everything you listed.

  94. on October 3, 2010 at 4:43 pm karie

I love seeing finished quilts and tutorials. Being a self taught quilter it is great to see what other quilters do.
Wow what wonderful fabrics!! I hope I am the lucky winner.

Great giveaway! I probably spend way too much time reading quilting blogs and what I enjoy reading changes with my mood and my current project. If I am in between projects I love to look at tutorials and read about new processes. Blogs with humor help me through my day! thanks again!

Gorgeous fabrics! I love seeing quilts in progress, then the finished project. Also love reading the stories behind the quilt if there are any. Tutorials are wonderful too. Really, I enjoy reading most anything pertaining to quilting. Have a wonderful day. Winona

  104. on October 3, 2010 at 6:48 pm Sarah C.

What gorgeous fabrics! You’ve got a very generous heart to host such a great giveaway! And that’s my favorite thing about quilting blogs – everyone has such generous hearts. They share tips, instruction, ideas, fabric, and I have made so many new friends, most of whom I may never meet in person…. the reading is just an added benefit!

  105. on October 3, 2010 at 7:07 pm sharonj

When I first started blog reading it was great just to see what others were making. I still love to see everyones projects but I find myself more drawn to blogs with tutorials. Motivates me to try new out new styles of quilting. Thanks for having such a wonderful give away, Sharonj.

  106. on October 3, 2010 at 7:14 pm Kelly

Those fabrics are gorgeous! Thanks for participating in the give-away.

My favorite thing on quilting blogs is tutorials or tips. I usually say I’m self-taught, but really I’ve learned just about everything I’ve done online, from so many resources. Love inspirational and informative blogs!

  107. on October 3, 2010 at 7:33 pm Marianne

I love to see what other people are making, the whole process of it, from fabric selection to the quilting. It gives me lots of inspiration. Tutorials are really good too, I found one that posted a video on how to apply binding by machine a different way than I usually do. (I am horrible about putting off binding).

  108. on October 3, 2010 at 7:42 pm Jenni

The thing I like to see most are the finished quilts followed by great tutorials. thanks for the chance:)

  109. on October 3, 2010 at 7:49 pm jansiesfancies

My favorite things to see are tutorials. I am new to quilting (haven’t even yet gotten up the gumption to start a big one) so the best thing for me is to learn, learn, learn. Thanks very much!

  110. on October 3, 2010 at 7:53 pm Jeanette

Lovely fabrics. When i visit blogs i love to see what others are making & maybe the fabrics they’ve used. tutorials are good to read but i guess it’s a way of touching base with other quilters.

  111. on October 3, 2010 at 8:45 pm kathyinozarks

I love the fabrics you have chosen for the giveaway, thanks for the chance to win.
I love to read all kinds of things in blogs. tutorials help me learn new things, I enjoy seeing what others make and colors they use, and love reading about their daily lives too

  112. on October 3, 2010 at 9:02 pm lisa

I like a combo of the tutorials (especially if it’s something I always thought was too hard for me or wanted to try) and the stories. I am a mom of two too so it’s fun to seehow others incorperate quilting into their “real” lives too. (I do it while the kids are napping or playing outside or sleeping at night…or watchign movies)

G’day from Australia. Fab giveaway! I enjoy reading about how other quilting bloggers got started, I’m interested in their lives, where they live- some live in big cities while others are on farms. I also enjoy some of the tutorials. I need all the help I can get-LOL!!! :-)

  115. on October 3, 2010 at 11:49 pm MoeWest

I like to see finished quilts and tutorials, anything to inspire me and teach me to be a better quilter.

  116. on October 4, 2010 at 1:23 am Janet

I like to read anecdotes and stories, see pictures of quilts in progress and finished, see a bit of scenery and I love humour. I don’t really like tutorials – I think they should be put in a thing on the sidebar for those who want to read them. But I don’t know how to make those things myself. Yours is a FABULOUS giveaway. Thanks for a chance to win it.

  117. on October 4, 2010 at 5:24 am Colleen

Thanks for a great giveaway and lovely blog.
I enjoy reading the blogs for ideas and inspiration. I am a new quilter so it is very helpful to me to have the tutorials.
    Thanks!

  118. on October 4, 2010 at 6:19 am Sally

I’m a fairly new quilter, so I like tutorials, but like another commented said I like to go straight to them via sidebar or tag if I’m seeking specifics instead of browsing. I also like completed quilts; a quilt show post can keep me busy for a long time! Your giveaway selection is wonderful, I think I’d make a quilt for myself instead of giving it away as I usually do.

  119. on October 4, 2010 at 7:55 am Tiffaney

I love to see tutorials. I don’t get to make very many of them, however it is always fun to see how something was made. I also enjoy blogs with alot of pictures.

  120. on October 4, 2010 at 8:52 am wendy

    tinkermans.daughter@gmail.com

  132. on October 4, 2010 at 3:30 pm Jill B

    Those are beautiful fabrics!

I love to read about the design decisions people make – some of the processes and changes they go through as they move from design to completion of a quilt.

  133. on October 4, 2010 at 3:43 pm Sandra :)

OMG that reindeer fabric is a hoot – I must HAVE some, lol – thank you for a sweet giveaway, I’d love to enter!

What I enjoy reading on other people’s blogs, are project or pattern stories – links to great patterns or tutorials, or stories of how a project went for the blogger – what worked for them, what didn’t, what they changed about a pattern, what they would do differently. Photographs, especially, of amazing projects are completely inspiring, and many of the little projects I do have been created from seeing someone else’s project :)

  134. on October 4, 2010 at 3:48 pm Kylie

I love reading about the stories behind the quilts and the challenges and triumphs of the quilting process. And photo tutorials… I love photographs! This fabric is gorgeous, that you for participating in Fall into Fall.

  135. on October 4, 2010 at 4:00 pm alice

What gorgeous fabric!! Never hurts to get started early. Reading blogs motivates me. I see how much others get done and I push myself a little harder. It is also nice to know that you are not alone in your struggles at learning how to do something new.

  136. on October 4, 2010 at 4:10 pm Colleen

I get so inspired by others’ quilts :) It motivates me and gets my creative juices going.

I also love to see tutorials. Even if you know how to quilt, there’s been so many useful tutorials on blogs that have shown me a better, or simpler, way to do something.

  137. on October 4, 2010 at 4:19 pm neece Houghtelin

I really enjoy seeing pictures of quilts, during and when they are finished as so many change from the original design. The fabric is motivating me to get my Christmas gifts started. Thanks for your generosity.

    • on October 7, 2010 at 9:34 am Cathy A.

I’m still trying to figure out how people fit quilting–any so many other fun and really important things–into their lives! I have a hard time finding time for everything that is important to me.

  201. on October 7, 2010 at 9:02 am Teresa

Beautiful fabrics! Thanks for such an amazing giveaway! Okay, so I pretty much like all of the stuff you mentioned about quilting blogs. I love looking at pictures…I definitely appreciate tutorials and tips for doing things better or more efficient…and I really like seeing the personal side of the quilters.

    Thanks for a wonderful giveaway!

What a great giveaway!! I enjoy reading and seeing what other quilters are doing. The tutorials are great and just the sheer variety of blogs is overwhelming! Thanks so much for your giveaway.

  206. on October 7, 2010 at 11:27 am Sharon

I pretty much like anything in a quilting blog – tutorials, processes, finished products, shopping trips, how to get your housework and cooking done faster to make more time for quilting… personal ancedotes help to keep it, well, personal.

I LOVE those fabrics. I’m much more of a Christmas girl than a Halloween one so this giveaway is awesome! Thanks

  207. on October 7, 2010 at 11:34 am Jennifer

I love those fabric pretty stuff. I like to read about quilting and look at pictures. Tutorials too. Thanks

  208. on October 7, 2010 at 11:47 am DianeH

The best part of quilting blogs is the inspiration provided by the quilts, methods, fabrics and most of all by the amazing bloggers.

  209. on October 7, 2010 at 11:47 am Jennifer

I love those fabric pretty stuff. I like to read about quilting and look at pictures. Tutorials too. Thanks My computers being stuped I hope I dont do this twice.

  210. on October 7, 2010 at 11:58 am Sandra

We don’t have bandwidth for a lot of videos and, most times, can’t even download all the photos. I enjoy reading the tips, hints, about people’s lives, their current projects.

  211. on October 7, 2010 at 12:15 pm Barbara

Nice fabrics! I like seeing other people’s projects and tutorials. Free quilt patterns are great too.

  212. on October 7, 2010 at 2:52 pm brooke

I enjoy the blogs that have a little bit of everything to offer. It’s like going to coffee with a friend.

  213. on October 7, 2010 at 3:34 pm Julie in WA

I read mostly quilt blogs, and my favorites are the ones that are almost completely focused on quilts…pictures, wips, design process. But then some include the dogs, and I love to read about them too! I generally am not terribly interested in family happenings, but sometimes I just get drawn in to that as well!

  214. on October 7, 2010 at 8:04 pm Marjorie

I like seeing WIP and love getting ideas about new techniques. I started blogging b/c of a quilt along and it’s fun to see what those blog friends are making now.

    Love the Christmas fabrics!!!

My favorite is the blogs that have a little of everything. Tutorials are so helpful but they can make for a really boring blog if their isn’t any other information.

  231. on October 8, 2010 at 7:28 pm Marcia W.

I enjoy reading tutorials on making blocks and quilts. Some photos showing the process and progress. Discussion of why certain choices were made and lessons learned. And, I like blogs that load quickly without lots of extraneous clutter – and like a blogroll with last entry days and subject. That is how I like to find new blogs on subjects interested in…

When I read quilting blogs I am looking for 2 things, first how much someone loves the quilting they are doing and the pictures to go along with what they are working on. The second is tutorials. I am so new to quilting, I need so much help learning. So thank you for the opportunity to win this lovely fabric. I look forward to checking out your blog real soon.

  233. on October 8, 2010 at 10:38 pm Jennifer

Wow! You sure have a ton of comments! What I love about blogs are reading the personal quilting stories, like what I did wrong, why I did this, how I decided this. I also love the quilt alongs too, because you get a lot of the same things I mentioned above. Thanks for the chance, those fabrics are gorgeous!

  234. on October 9, 2010 at 2:41 am deborah

Loving the fabric! I envision a tumbler quilt from it:) I enjoy reading quilt blogs for any and all content – tutorials are great, other’s quilts, and newsy content about other quilters and family is interesting too

  244. on October 9, 2010 at 7:18 pm Cheryl

What yummy fabrics. I am very new to quilting and love the tutorials and seeing finished quilits let me know that it is possible.

  245. on October 9, 2010 at 8:33 pm Kim Hamilton

I love seeing pictures of finished projects as well as tutorials. I also love just seeing pictures of fabric.

  246. on October 9, 2010 at 9:46 pm Leslie Schmidt

That is some really great fabric! Great giveaway.
For me, reading blogs is partly about personal life stuff, partly tutorials and projects, and partly finished quilts. I especially love to find out new and better ways to do things and see the thinking that went on before the start of the quilt. I’m not an artist, so I like to see how people pick fabrics that I wouldn’t have considered, and end up with fantastic designs. Thanks for the chance.

  247. on October 9, 2010 at 10:37 pm Debbie

Love the colors of these fabrics, Cathy. Not the usual boring holiday colors! Thanks for counting me in. For me the most fun part of reading blogs is seeing the photos of finished and works in progress.

  248. on October 10, 2010 at 2:58 am Pauline

Thanks for the giveaway- I love Christmas fabric!

I have quite a few blogs I follow and there are two things I love about quilting blogs-

1st -the inspiration I feel looking at finishes, and that helps me to keep working on whatever project I’m trying to finish (or maybe the time spent reading hinders finishing something- I’m not so sure sometimes!)

and 2nd, the peek into other people’s lives, and to feel that, no matter where we live in the world, we all share common concerns and enjoy similar things.

  249. on October 10, 2010 at 7:48 am aspenhill

I like seeing quilts – in progress (sharing how you’re working on it) and finished. Tutorials are good, too.

    Thanks!

  250. on October 10, 2010 at 1:27 pm Cathy

Beautiful fabrics! I love to see the finished results of quilts and also enjoy the tutorials. I also like to read about other aspects of people’s lives…getting to know the name behind the blog.

  251. on October 10, 2010 at 5:19 pm Tong

I love tutorials and quilting stories, tips and tricks of the trade! Thanks so much for the giveaway!

  252. on October 10, 2010 at 6:12 pm Tiffany

I love tutorials – or how someone took a pattern and personalized it. And, I really love seeing the fabrics and projects people make. Table runners, quilts, coasters, etc, it’s very inspirational to see all these gorgeous finished projects!

I’ve learned a lot from reading blogs, and picked up GREAT tips, and found good ways to make blocks – saving fabric, using the remains, etc.

  253. on October 10, 2010 at 6:56 pm Karen

I really enjoy reading about the bloggers and families, their travels and what they are working on. Contests are also a lot of fun.

  254. on October 10, 2010 at 8:05 pm Tracey P

I love the process of a quilt coming together. Seeing someone take it from a pile of fabric to a completed quilt along with any tips they discovered along the way is great.

  255. on October 10, 2010 at 9:45 pm Brittainy

I love the gorgeous photography! I try and devote a little care and time into photographing my progress- something a little better than cell phone pics. Your pictures look great!
Thanks for the chance for this giveaway!! YOU ROCK!

  256. on October 11, 2010 at 1:51 am Carol

I really enjoy tutorials but also like it mixed with personal stories. Seeing fabric combos chosen by others helps broaden how I look at fabric….I become more open and not so quick to dismiss a fabric.

  257. on October 11, 2010 at 5:10 am MIss Yaya

I would love to join your drawing. I like the post of tutorials, then I practice.

    Thanks for the opportunity

  258. on October 11, 2010 at 8:54 am Laura M

I love it all – personal stories, pictures, projects, tutorials,… For now, it’s as close to a guild as I can manage. It’s a great way to connect with other quilters/crafters when life doesn’t otherwise allow it.

  259. on October 11, 2010 at 9:37 am susan

The fabrics are awesome! What I love most about reading quilty blogs is getting some inspiration from what other quilters are making. Often many quilters are working on similar quilts and the fabric choice or quilting choices make each one unique.

Those fabrics are wonderful, and you’re right it’s not too early to start Christmas gifts. I like it when there is a tutorial of the finished quilt, or references to how it was done, fabric suggestions, changes to the pattern, and any problems encountered.

One thing that brings me back to a blog is when I can get a sense of “personality” of feeling of knowing the author. It’s a mix of personal anecdotes, stories, tutorials, and pictures.

I am a new beginner quilter. However the ” Love Affair” has begun for sure. I find myself waking in the morning and going in to just feel the fabric. In the middle of the night I wake from dreams with new ideas, designs in my head and feeling drawn to check all my responses to the quilting forums that I have joined. Quilting Tutorials? you simply cannot put a price tag on them. The tricks and tips that I have acquired are simply awesome. Gratitude is one of the words that come to mind when images are shared of finished quilts. Some have a story behind them which I read with great anticipation. Some are just a weekend project that started with frivolous action. All I can say is thank you. May the Best Quilting Bee Win.

From tutorials to finishes, it’s the process that intrigues me! Blog about the process with others and voila, a quilt along is born!

I mostly like it when they are full of variety. I even enjoy some personal mixed in.

But, my main thing…I like them short and sweet. If they are long and wordy I tend to just skip right past them. I have added yours to my reader.

What a nice gift, thank you for the opportunity.
